Don Fredericksen is a professor of film and faculty affiliate in the religious studies and visual studies programs in the College of Arts and Sciences. He was director of undergraduate studies in film for over thirty years. He also practices part-time as a psychotherapist. He is the author of books on Bergman's film Persona, Wadja's film Kanal, and neo-Kantian film theory, and of numerous essays on Jungian film and cultural analyses, Polish film, documentary film, liminal film, and Fellini. He travels to Poland annually to lecture for colleagues in film studies and in psychotherapy. He is current chairman of the International Association for Jungian Studies.
