The information presented below pertains to the 2008 Summer College program. We're currently putting the finishing touches on our 2009 program and we'll update the Web site with this information by mid-December. If you would like to be notified when the site is updated, please join the Summer College e-mail announcement list.

Junior/Senior • 6 weeks (June 21–August 5) • 6–8 credits

“Focus on the Sciences” is designed especially for students who are passionate about subjects from astronomy to biology and who just can’t wait to get to college to undertake in-depth scientific exploration. If you’re eager to concentrate on a science course or take a lab in physics, chemistry, microbiology, or earth and atmospheric science, then be sure to apply to this program. “Focus on the Sciences” will allow you to concentrate all of your energy on an intensive science course, meeting the faculty, and completing lab work with like-minded students. To participate, you’ll choose one science course and one other non-science course from the more than sixty courses on our Web site (keep in mind that your schedule won’t allow you to take two science courses with labs). You’ll earn an average of six to eight credits and get advanced lab work under your lab coat while maybe figuring out what you want to study in college.
