  • The university was founded in 1865 by Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White.
  • It’s a member of the Ivy League as well as a partner of the State University of New York.
  • Cornell comprises fourteen colleges and schools: eleven units in Ithaca, two units in New York City, and one in Doha, Qatar.
  • The university offers approximately 4,000 courses, in nearly one hundred departments and major fields of study.
  • The student population includes almost 20,000 people from all over the world.
