Final Exams

A schedule of Summer Session 2008 six- and eight-week final exam times and locations is now available.

The course classroom is used unless a change is arranged by the instructor.

If there is no final examination in a course, an announcement must be made to that effect. In that case, the last meeting of the class is held at the time the examination would have been given.

Proposed deviations from the final-examination schedule must be submitted in writing for approval by the Associate Dean and are permitted only if all class members and the instructor agree on the change and it has been determined that no student in the class has a conflict in time.

Three-Week Summer Session: May 28 - June 20, 2008

Final examinations will take place on Friday, June 20, in your classroom at your regular class time or another time convenient to you and the entire class.

Eight-Week Summer Session: June 9 - August 1, 2008

Final examinations will take place Monday and Tuesday, August 4-5, 2008 at these times:

  • 8:30 a.m. classes - Monday, August 4, at 8:00 a.m.
  • 10:00 a.m. classes - Tuesday, August 5, at 8:00 a.m.
  • 11:30 a.m. classes - Monday, August 4, at 10:30 a.m.
  • 1:00 p.m. classes - Tuesday, August 5, at 10:30 a.m.
  • 2:30 p.m. classes - Monday, August 4, at 2:00 p.m.
  • 4:00 p.m. classes - Tuesday, August 5, at 2:00 p.m.
  • Evening classes - Last class meeting
  • Courses of less than full session length - Last class meeting

Six-Week Summer Session: June 23 - August 1, 2008

Final examinations will take place Monday and Tuesday, August 4-5, 2008 at these times:

  • 8:30 a.m. classes - Monday, August 4, at 8:00 a.m.
  • 10:00 a.m. classes - Tuesday, August 5, at 8:00 a.m.
  • 11:30 a.m. classes - Monday, August 4, at 10:30 a.m.
  • 1:00 p.m. classes - Tuesday, August 5, at 10:30 a.m.
  • 2:30 p.m. classes - Monday, August 4, at 2:00 p.m.
  • 4:00 p.m. classes - Tuesday, August 5, at 2:00 p.m.
  • Evening classes - Last class meeting
  • Courses of less than full session length - Last class meeting

Three-Week Winter Session: January 2-17, 2009

Final examinations will be held on Saturday, January 17, at a time arranged by the instructor.

Special programs

Directors of special programs schedule their own exams. Participants should check with the director.

Final examinations for sessions of less than three, three-, four-, or five-week periods will take place on the final day of your period in your classroom at your regular class time or another time convenient to you and the entire class.
