World Challenges: Making Our Way to Sustainable Solutions

There are many challenges in the areas of energy, environment, and economic and human development that require significant and timely response. The need to address these challenges is made more urgent by the increasing world population, which is forecast to reach 9.5 billion by 2050. In this presentation Frank DiSalvo, a professor at Cornell and director of the Cornell Center for a Sustainable Future, will outline some of the challenges and the role of academic institutions in addressing these critical issues.
