Theatre, Film, and Dance in Europe

The following programs are sponsored by Cornell University's Department of Theatre, Film and Dance (TFD). Students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Theatre, Film, and Dance in Paris, France

May 25–June 28, 2008

This seven-credit program gives participants the opportunity to explore Paris as a city bound to concepts of performativity in terms of theatre, film, and dance studies as well art, architecture, and urban development studies. This program parallels and interfaces with the TFD program in Rome, Italy in July.

    June 29–July 26, 2008

    This seven-credit program gives participants the opportunity to explore Rome, most often celebrated for its relationship to antiquity, as a modern city interfacing with its past. It combines theatre, film, and dance studies with art, architecture, and urban development studies. This program parallels and interfaces with the TFD program in Paris, France in June.

    This 16-credit program combines its two parallel programs in Paris, France, and Rome, Italy, and begins with a visit to Dublin, Ireland. The combined "Theatre, Film and Dance in Europe" program gives participants the opportunity to explore these three great cities through theatre, film, and dance studies along with art, architecture, and urban development studies.
