Prelaw program

June 2 - July 11, 2008

Note: Although internship placements for this program have reached capacity, we are still accepting applications for a limited number of seats in the highly-regarded course-only portion of this program. We will put accepted students on an internship waiting list should any placements become available. Students accepted to the course-only portion of this program may also choose to arrange their own internship. We also urge you to sign up for our e-mail list to find out when this program will next be offered and to consider one of our other "Campus-to-Careers" programs:

Apply

You must submit, together with the application form:

  1. a one-page resumé
  2. an official college transcript to date
  3. a letter of reference commenting on on your academic ability and achievement, seriousness of purpose, and suitability for a career in the law
  4. a one- to two-page essay describing why you want to participate in the program and, if you want to be considered for an internship, you should indicate that and describe what you hope to learn from your internship
  5. a $50 nonrefundable application fee.

Admission to the program is on a rolling basis until the program is full. Only complete applications will be reviewed. Because enrollment is limited, you're encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

If you're interested in being considered for an internship, it's to your advantage to apply and pay in full as early as possible, and by January 15, 2009 at the latest. Please note that market conditions may affect the availability of internships.

To apply for Cornell University's Prelaw Program, print and complete the application form. Please mail all application materials together to:
