The University Police maintain a 24-hour switchboard for all emergencies. In the main campus area you are never far from a blue light phone. When you pick up the telephone under a blue light, the Department of Public Safety will answer immediately. The police dispatcher will also be able to trace your location in case it is not safe for you to stay on the line. When using a phone other than a blue light phone, in the case of an emergency dial 911. For information, or to report something that is NOT an emergency, call the Cornell Police at 607.255.1111.
