Campus life

Court/Kay Hall

Court/Kay Hall is CAU's terrific residence hall and the central program headquarters for adults. It features air conditioning, semi-private baths, and a location convenient to classes, dining, and social activities. A few rooms with private baths next to each are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Most families with children are housed in apartment-style town houses elsewhere on North Campus. Counselors will supervise children during day camp, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., and during the evening activity program, from 6:30 until 9:30 p.m.

Teens live together in their own residence hall nearby, where they are supervised by residential counselors throughout the day and night.

Laundry facilities in Court/Kay Hall are operational and free for your use. Inquire at the Court/Kay desk for directions and detergents.

If you will be receiving mail or packages, please have them sent to you in care of the CAU office, Cornell’s Adult University, B20 Day Hall, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY 14853-2801. Mail and packages are NOT delivered directly to the dormitories in the summer.

Browsing copies of The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Ithaca Journal will be available in the adult lounge.

Questions, problems, and suggestions concerning housing should be directed to a CAU staff person or to the CAU office (607.255.6260). Dormitory doors are now locked around the clock except for a few hours when we are arriving, so be sure to carry your key card when you leave the building. In the event that you are locked out, please follow the directions posted near the dormitory entrance phones.
