Tuition and fees
- Tuition for general registrants in the fall/spring semester is $1,410 per credit. (For tuition and registration for summer or winter classes, see the Summer Session or Winter Session sites.)
- Tuition for Visitors Program registrants is $141 per credit.
Tuition must be paid in full at registration. A person who has an outstanding indebtedness to the university will not be allowed to register.
Student health fee: To ensure that they have access to campus health services, visiting students enrolled in 12 or more credits in on-campus fall/spring classes will be assessed the $175 fall/spring Student Health Fee ($100 for summer on-campus classes), unless they enroll in Cornell's Student Health Plan (SHP). Course fee: When applicable, part-time registrants pay nonrefundable course fees, such as charges for laboratory equipment, reading materials, or course supplies, as noted in the course descriptions found in Courses of Study.
Late-registration fee: See late registration.
Replacement ID: A $40 fee is charged to replace a lost ID card.
Returned check fee: A $25 fee is charged for checks returned because of insufficient funds. In addition, a late-registration fee may be charged by the Continuing Education office (see late registration), and a late fee of $350 will be assessed by the bursar if the check was used for registration. If the returned check is not replaced within seven working days, the registration will be canceled. Any balance unpaid on the student's account that results from a returned check is subject to a late payment penalty. All returned payments made through Cornell CASHNet will also incur this fee. The university reserves the right to require a cashier or certified check on future payments. The university does not accept post-dated checks.
