Course changes

Six-week students who wish to change courses

Students attending six-week programs register for six-week courses bearing at least six credits. You cannot withdraw from a credit course and still meet the requirements of the program unless you register in another course.

Before programs begin, we will accept written requests for course changes if they are received in the Summer College Academic Advising office (B20 Day Hall by June 1, 2018.

If you decide you’d like to switch courses once your program has begun, we encourage you to visit the class you’re interested in switching to and confirm that there is room for you and that you meet the course prerequisites.

Changes may be made in the Academic Advising office between Monday, June 25, and Wednesday, June 27, from 9:00 a.m. to noon or 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. All changes must be approved by Jim Schechter, the director, or Janna Dawn, associate director.

Please keep in mind the final exam schedule and your travel arrangements when you change a course. We strictly adhere to these deadlines and final exams cannot be rescheduled.

Consider carefully before making a change. Catching up in a new class can be difficult. Remember, you cannot take more than one writing course.
