Opening weekend schedule

This is the opening weekend schedule for students in:

  • The Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Program (arriving on June 30)

Please let us know if you'll be arriving after 5:00 p.m. and read the late arrival information. We'll add your name to the late-arrival list. Please see our Location, directions, lodging pages for accommodation and travel information.

Saturday, June 30

1:00-5:00 p.m.
Check-in — North Campus, off Pleasant Grove Road

Residence halls open at 1:00 p.m. We cannot accommodate arrivals before 1:00 p.m.

5:00-7:30 p.m.
Dinner — Marketplace Eatery in Robert Purcell Community Center (meal plan begins)

Meet up with your RCA just outside the main doors of your residence hall at 5:00 p.m. to go as a group.

Students will use their Cornell ID card. Please call ahead (607.255.5952) to let Dining know of any special dietary needs.

9:30 p.m.
Mandatory Residence Hall Meeting — Residence Hall

Discussion will center on residential policies and getting around campus. By attending this meeting and a couple of required informational get-togethers, you'll learn about college life and how to avoid common problems.

12:00 midnight
Nightly Check-in — Residence Hall

If you are turning in early, please let the Residential Community Advisor (RCA) on your floor know.

Sunday, July 1

11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Lunch — Marketplace Eatery in Robert Purcell Community Center

Students will use their Cornell ID card.

3:00-4:00 p.m.
Campus tour

Residential staff will show students the important and most popular places on campus. Meet just outside the main doors of your residence hall.

5:00-7:30 p.m.
Dinner — Marketplace Eatery in Robert Purcell Community Center

11:00 p.m.
Nightly Check-in — Residence Hall

If you are turning in early, please contact the Residential Community Advisor (RCA) on call know before 10:00 p.m. via the on-call numbers posted in your hall.

Make sure you get enough sleep—classes begin tomorrow!
