ART 2201 Introduction to Painting

Course description

Studies the language of painting through color, form, materials, and techniques. Aspects of traditional and modern pictorial composition are studied including proportion, space, and color theory through the representation of a variety of subjects.

Limited enrollment. Students must buy their own supplies for studio courses. Supplies for most studio courses cost $50 to $200.

This course is open to all registrants, including undergraduates and Summer College students.
