Bring a bicycle
Cornell's campus is beautiful and large, so if you have a bike, we encourage you to bring it with you, along with a strong lock and a helmet. With a bike, you'll be able to get to your classes and meals quickly and see more of the gorgeous scenery Cornell has to offer. Keep in mind that you'll be living and eating on North Campus, which is a 20-minute walk from central campus where most of the classes are held.
You are required to register your bike when you get to campus. The form requires the bike's serial number, make, model, colors, and style.
We also encourage you to include your name, phone number, and e-mail address in case we need to contact you about it.
Cornell's system of bike lanes, shared paths, and dismount zones must be observed at all times. You should familiarize yourself with this system. All cyclists also must follow state traffic laws.
Bikes can be parked at any bicycle rack or in an approved bicycle storage area in a residence hall with permission from your head resident.

Unfortunately, Uber and Lyft are not options
Neither Uber nor Lyft allows individuals under the age of 18 to ride without an accompanying adult. Consequently, Summer College students may not use these services.
