Auditing a course

If you'd like to attend classes and don't need to earn credits, you may audit courses at Cornell.

You must attend class regularly and complete all the required work, except any that is graded. You are charged the same tuition and fees as if you were taking the course for credit, and the course appears on your transcript.

Note: Cornell undergrads and Cornell University Summer College students may not audit courses.

Online enrollment is available for most classes from March through early May. After this date, students may enroll in person or by mail up to and beyond the first day of class, with some exceptions. See the academic calendar.
