ORIE 5510 Introduction to Stochastic Processes I

Course description

Uses basic concepts and techniques of random processes to construct models for a variety of problems of practical interest. Topics include the Poisson process, Markov chains, renewal theory, models for queuing, and reliability.

Non-Cornell students must get permission of instructor to enroll.

Prerequisites

OR&IE 5500 or equivalent. Non-Cornell students must get permission of instructor to enroll.
