CEE 3720 Intermediate Solid Mechanics
This course introduces students to the mathematical framework of continuum solid mechanics. Topics include: infinitesimal stresses and strains, coordinate transformations, constitutive relationships, yield criteria, elementary boundary value problems, and introductory fracture mechanics. Outcome 1: The course is intended to introduce students to the necessary tools for rigorously describing the deformation and failure of solids, and provide the necessary foundation for future courses and practice.
Non-Cornell students must get permission of instructor to enroll.
