Course introduces students to technical and professional skills in the context of materials science and engineering. Skills include technical writing (primary), working in teams, and searching scientific literature and patents. Effective presentation of data (tables and plots) and technical writing structure are discussed using assignments from MSE 3110 (co-requisite), with examples discussed in groups and improved by student teams. Written assignments related to specific elements will undergo guided revision with the student teams. Final deliverable for the course is a full lab report based on an MSE 3110 experiment.
