Cornell students wishing to complete a physical education (PE) requirement during the summer must obtain a letter of permission from the Physical Education office and submit it when they register with the Summer Sessions office in B20 Day Hall. Students from other institutions wishing to receive PE credit must have a letter of approval sent from their institution's PE department to Cornell's Department of Athletics and Physical Education. The letter must verify that a grade of "satisfactory" will fulfill the PE requirement of that institution. Students interested in taking a PE course on a non-credit basis may do so by registering with the Department of Athletics and Physical Education.
