Host families are selected by an agency that has served USC, Stanford, and several other American programs in Madrid for more than sixteen years. In order to match students with the most appropriate host family, students will be asked to provide the program administrators with their profile.
The homestay dates are from May 26 to July 5, 2019. Before their departure for Madrid, students will know where they will be staying, and they will have a chance to exchange e-mail with the Madrid family.
Students will have their own room.
All families' apartments have internet access. All the families will be located within the limits of what is considered the "center" of Madrid (an area that extends beyond the city's historical center).
In case of incompatibility, students should contact the program director immediately, who will work with the agency to find a solution.
It should be noted that the term "family" means different possible kinds of constellations (single woman, single woman with children, couple without children) and not necessarily parents and children.
