Participants will experience the city by engaging community leaders in their respective neighborhoods, discovering how people live their lives and learning about the challenges that affect the availability and quality of health care.

Churches United for Fair Housing (CUFFH)
CUFFH is a grassroots organization that empowers communities through organizing, youth engagement, and by providing sophisticated social services. CUFFH works to preserve and create vibrant communities that are not exclusive and are affordable to working families in New York City.
Southside United HDFC (Los Sures)
Los Sures is the oldest Williamsburg nonprofit organization that owns and manages affordable housing in North Brooklyn. It has undertaken large-scale rehabilitation of many buildings and has also provided a multitude of much-needed services, including a senior center and a food pantry.
Reconnect Brooklyn is located in an area of North Brooklyn that is home to thousands of disconnected youth. The goal of Reconnect is to attract young men who are looking to change their lives and offer them employment that leads to their engagement in education, personal and job-related skills development, and dedication to community leadership and service.
