Cornell University School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions

Cornell-China Undergraduate Summer Program

Summer 2018

Courses

CCUSP students enroll in regular Cornell undergraduate courses. Taught by world-renowned faculty members, these courses are fast-paced and rigorous—so come prepared for a challenge.

Through their classes, CCUSP students gain academic knowledge, improve their English, and become familiar with the teaching and learning styles at an Ivy League university. Students are expected to attend all classes and actively participate in classroom discussions.

CCUSP students are evaluated by the same academic standards and procedures as Cornell undergraduate students. Students who have concerns about their academic progress can meet with the CCUSP director to discuss their options.

All CCUSP students have access to Cornell’s outstanding resources, including twenty libraries and cutting-edge computing services and laboratories.

Tips for selecting courses

When selecting a course,

  • confirm that you are eligible to take the course and that you meet the prerequisites;
  • be sure that it does not conflict with the time of your other course; and
  • consider the amount of work involved before choosing two courses that are writing-intensive (such as courses in the Writing and English Departments).
