Telluride Association, an educational non-profit, currently offers several unique six-week summer programs for high school students: TASS for sophomores and TASP for juniors.
These free programs aim to prepare students for a life of leadership and public service through an intense education in intellectual inquiry, democratic self-governance, and communal living. TASS also focuses specifically on critical black and ethnic studies.
Currently, four of those programs (two TASSes and two TASPs) are cosponsored by Cornell University and held in Ithaca. All students attend our programs on full scholarships. Additional need-based travel and work replacement scholarships are also available.
Telluride Association welcomes applications from high school sophomores and juniors of all backgrounds. Students from historically underrepresented groups, especially students of color and those from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, are particularly encouraged to apply.
These programs do not offer grades or college credit; students participate solely for the pleasure and rewards of learning with intelligent, highly motivated students of diverse backgrounds.
Applications become available generally in the late fall and are due in January. For more information, please visit tellurideassociation.org/our-programs/high-school-students.
