Cornell University School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions

Intensive Nepali language program

June 5-July 14, 2017

The following information pertains to the last time this program was offered. If you would like to be notified via e-mail when new information is available, please subscribe to the Summer Session announcement list.

Students spend four hours per day in class and two additional hours working with recorded materials in addition to the time required for daily preparation. Films and guest lecturers complement the summer program. Assignment to NEPAL 1160, 2260, or 3360 is made by the instructors upon evaluation after arrival.

The tuition charge for this six-week, six-credit program is $7,860. A limited number of U.S. Department of Education fellowships, covering tuition and fees and providing a maintenance allowance, are available through the South Asia Program. These fellowships are open to United States citizens and permanent residents who are either enrolled or accepted to enroll in any graduate program. We strongly encourage applications from historically underrepresented populations, including members of racial or ethnic minorities, women, persons with disabilities, and the elderly. There is a strong possibility for other support.
