Refund schedule

If you're eligible for a refund, you must ask the bursar's office to send you a refund check. A minimum of two to four weeks from the date the written request was submitted to the Summer Session office is required for processing of all refunds.

If you withdraw without officially notifying the Summer Session office, you will not receive a refund of tuition (and will receive a grade of F). For more information see Withdrawal.

Please note that course fees are nonrefundable.


Refund schedule

For courses in the three-week session

May 27-29, 2015Course withdrawal period with a 100% tuition refund
June 1-2, 2015Course withdrawal period with a 50% tuition refund
June 3, 2015Course withdrawal on or after this date receives 0% tuition refund

For courses in the eight-week session*

June 8-10, 2015Course withdrawal period with a 100% tuition refund
June 11-12, 2015Course withdrawal period with a 50% tuition refund
June 13, 2015Course withdrawal on or after this date receives 0% tuition refund

For courses in the six-week session*

June 22-24, 2015Course withdrawal period with a 100% tuition refund
June 25-26, 2015Course withdrawal period with a 50% tuition refund
June 27, 2015Course withdrawal on or after this date receives 0% tuition refund

*Note: If you're registered in a four-week course in the eight-week session, in a three-week course in the six-week session, or in Chemistry 3570 or 3580, consult the Summer Session office for refund information.

Tuition-refund schedule for an online course

To withdraw from an online course, you must notify the SCE registrar's office in writing. Your refund amount will be determined by the number of days from the start of the course that you withdraw.

Refund schedule (based on course start date):

  • Days 1-3: Withdrawal period with a 100 percent tuition refund
  • Days 4-5: Withdrawal period with a 50 percent tuition refund
  • Day 6: Withdrawal period with a 0 percent refund

If you want to appeal the refund schedule based on special circumstances, please download the petition form, complete it, and submit it to B20 Day Hall. The form will be reviewed by committee, and you will be notified if your appeal is approved.
